The Track opens the J5 range at $23,990 and the Summit EV sits at $35,990, before on-roads. That is the sticker, not the number you sign. Options, on-road costs and the state you register in shift it, and competition between dealers shifts it again. Send us the spec and we will come back with a real drive-away figure, at no cost to you.
Drive-away on the J5 is what leaves your account, not what the ad quotes. The list figure plus registration, CTP, stamp duty and delivery gets you there. Inclusions are worth asking for, and we do ask, floor mats and a full tank among them. Nothing is buried; you see the breakdown first.
Seat layout, boot volume and ANCAP rating differ across J5 grades in ways the brochure hides. Describe the real situation, seats, pram, dog, sports gear, whatever it is. We will confirm which variants between the Track and the Summit EV meet it. If it is the wrong car for you, you will hear that from us.
You will not get a bill from us on the J5 at all. The fee is built into the transaction, so the J5 figure we put in front of you is the figure you pay. There is no surprise line at signing. You see exactly how it is made up before anything is agreed.
The J5 runs from the Track at $23,990 to the Summit EV at $35,990. Between the two you are buying drivetrain, trim and kit. The mid-range is usually the sensible landing spot. Give us the use case and we will tell you where the value sits.
Of course, and it is a sensible thing to settle before you commit. We speak to new parents most weeks, and to first-time buyers who would rather not work this out on their own. Something this size tends to suit, but rear seat width and boot access still vary between grades. The useful detail is the pram you have, the boot you need, and whether a second seat is coming later. We will look at how the back seat is laid out on each J5 grade you are weighing up.
Yes. The J5 carries the same Jaecoo factory warranty you would get walking into a dealership. That is exactly where the car comes from: a franchised Jaecoo dealer, brand new. How the price was arrived at has no bearing on what you are entitled to. You are no worse off in any respect that matters.
It comes down to whether your J5 is already built or still to be ordered. Cars already here move quickly once the finance is settled. Build slots are a different story, and colour can move them too. We check live availability across the network so the date you get is a real one.
